Yes Shaun looks like your were right.I've just come across some more old pictures of East Sussex Fire Brigade, and one of the pictures shows the
1979/80 Jeep J20 6x4 located at Preston Circus Fire Station in Brighton.

My father was responsible for the conversion of GMV 999V whilst working for Pilcher Green. If anyone knows where this vehicle is now I would love to know. The last time I saw it was at Ardingly Vintage Vehicle Show in July 2005 or 2006

Nikki there is 1 of these in kent. its just near kent airport theres a little museum did have a pic some where so will dig it out and post it.

I owned this and sold it to a collector in Holland in about 2007/08.Nikki you would have seen it at Ardingly when I showed it there.
Alas as for its present state/ownership I cannot say.

I photographed GWV 999V at the 2000 Odiham Fire Show but it's not been taxed since April 2005 so I've no idea if it still survives. Anyone know?
Nikki - I have been trying to do some research into Pilcher-Greene but I am not getting very far. Do you know if anyone has any records detailing the fire appliances built by the company?

Angloco bodied B331OJK. Was it written off in an RTA? see picture 5503.
