Oh yes, this is what I call a FIRE ENGINE! Unfortunate that we are seeing it in a funeral situation but I couldn't think of a better way to go out, , , , !

I am proud of this picture of my Dad James "Buckeye" Hinton Jr. driving his "Pride & Joy" Fire Truck 202. I am very sorry to say that my Dad passed away on Sept.3 2015. I am very proud of him and he was always a great Dad to his 5 Children. He will be missed by all of us. "Love You Dad" Buck Hinton 3rd.

There are still some Mack C series in service in various South American countries after half a century!

I think the American La France 700 series from 1948 may have been introduced before the Mack C series, and it too had two (very narrow) rear facing jump seats as well as the traditional rear step for crew members...

I have since learned that the Mack C series was in fact an Ahrens-Fox design, utilizing the first Cincinnati cab and introduced in 1956, after the firm was bought by Mack.

This means it was well after the ALF 700 series was first sold.
