Did you miss picture 7783. This is 'Blue' in it's restored condition. I have been the recipient of Frank's detailed pictures of the restoration over the past five years. I have seen almost every nut and bolt over this time although I am at the otherside of the world.
It was in a very poor condition and now it is perfect (Well almost!...I don't agree with painting over the brass with laquer to eliminate the polishing. Getting your hands black with 'Brasso' is part of the game).

Did I ever ! picture 7783 is a wonderful grand sight, of this engine rescued and restored to her full glory. Honestly, I would not have believed it possible.
Gee, maybe lacquering the brass-work might not be all that of a sin. I have been involved in trying to keep brass-work polished at sea in the salt air - practically, polishing every day. The humid air of Northern Aus might require the same.... but this little engine escaped getting reduced to a heap of rust by Frank's efforts.
Kudos to Frank for carrying it out, and sharing it with us. Any more pics, please, especially during The Restoration ?
And I have to sort out the cross-referencing of the Pictures......

Just type 4115 in the box beside the "Search" button and click "Search" to bring up all Blue's photos. I will add some restoration photos.

We have to suppose that with the humid climate; that this "rusted heap of junk" got hauled away, during some "Clean Up Drive"; after, all the valuable metals got robbed.
BTW, Frank put a shot of this old girl, 1930, in her hey-day, next-door at Picture 7784.
