This is a 1939 Albion with bodywork and fire engineering by John Kerr. It has a Drysdale 500gpm pump. It was new to Diss Fire Brigade and went into the National Fire Service in 1941, passing to the Norfolk Fire Brigade in 1948. It was preserved in Essex for more than 30 years and was purchased by Mick Paull of Odiham, Hampshire in 2000. Mick has fully restored it. Mick is the main organiser of the Odiham Fire Show that's the UK's biggest fire engine event - it's being held in 2009 on August 1st & 2nd.
DVF 765 - Not exactly a comfortable perch for the crew, but perhaps a slight improvement over the more traditional Braidwood hard box seating…AMAZING restoration and preservation!
Would be something like the "Sedan Body" over here, except that the crew are sitting on top of it, rather than in it.....
Can we get some particulars please ? from any-one ? The above-mentioned web-site doesn't seem to work out.
Regards, from Canada,
