Amongst other things, these Chevrolet 4x4's were used as Gun Tractors in World War 2 - towing a limber and a 25-pounder field gun. As a kid in Quebec, Canada, in the 1950's; I saw them used as Tow Trucks and for Snow Plows in the winter. Great little truck. Regards, Pat_R-B

Yep, this is a Canadian Military Pattern truck; a British War Office specification; and over 400,000 of these homely machines built in Canada(the majority), India, South Africa, Egypt, New Zealand, and Australia - during World War 2.
