Atlanta Fire Dept. Airport station.

The Atlanta, Ga. Fire Dept. operates Crash Fire Rescue for the W.B. Hartsfield Intl. Airport. I don't remember the Station number, poss. station 40. In the background is the old control tower. A new, higher one opened last year.

This was AFD Station 35, the old one. Like the tower, it's been replaced. Note the station number on the corner of Y-11 and above the door on Y-2. The ALF was Y-6.

Jean-Pierre, my friend, I hope you are doing well! I was one of your tour guides in Atlanta in 1993. They have added a fifth station at the airport, Station 33. All of the apparatus you photographed then have been replaced. Security is a little tighter at the airport now, but I still have contacts there. Come back anytime.
