These are not all that common. I noticed that Chicago FD operates a similar unit on a Ford chassis. It was recently dispatched ( but not actually used ) to a basement fire in a bank located in a high rise building in the central business district.

Another was seen at an underground car parking garage in Germany, to push smoke and fumes ahead of the firefighters tackling the blaze and out of the garage’s existing ventilation system. This incident resulted in the destruction of at least seven cars but of course many more were saved…

Some Chinese cities have more than one ventilator trucks in operation, but never seen one on the chassis of van. They are mostly mounted on Benz or MAN two or three axles chassis.

Some German cities have these high capacity ventilators on robot tracked chassis too, with infrared cameras so they can actually operate in thick smoke if necessary. They are often carried in a container along with a fire fighting robot, also mounted on a tracked chassis. This trails a 75 mm hose line or sometimes a pair of hoses, depending on output. Some versions can deliver either water or foam, according to the type of incident.

I recently learned that Tokyo Fire Department has robot firefighting units at numerous fire stations, with earthquake incident response in mind in addition to everyday firefighting tasks. The numbers are apparently in excess of twenty!

Yes exactly Tokyo has special units called Hyper-Rescue with sophisticated and specialized rigs at my time there where 5 well equipped units 2-3-5-8-10. Other FS have "robots" as well
