Smiths bodied a number of pumping appliances for this brigade which is not often photographed at this era. There is no evidence this machine survives. 1959 appliance.

AE Smith are still trading in Kettering for bodywork repairs.

Probably one of the last Bedford S types built, shortly before the introduction of the immensely more successful TK range. While many brigades bought S types, the Commer Q was also very popular in the fifties, but was largely eclipsed by the TK in the sixties.
