These replaced the kinds of LF8 TS pumpers which are depicted in picture 44789 and picture 44790 on this site. They also had the same basic specifications with respect to the fixed front mounted and portable pumps, crew cabs and general equipment. Because many of the volunteer fire companies who bought these different generations of light pumpers very often attended relatively few alarms, many older types remained in service for as many as thirty years - and were still in quite good condition when they were eventually replaced…
