2400 LPM pump and 5000 litre tank, a unit which supports standard rescue pumpers at incidents such as industrial or commercial premises or transportation fires involving commercial vehicles or rail cars. Although they can off course be deployed at other types of calls, they are primarily designed for city use, rather than wildfire or vegetation fires. Like other fire trucks, the recent trend of for these to be gradually replaced by bigger units. Many are being replaced by tandem axle tankers with 10,000 litre tanks when they have reached the end of their service life.
