Operating with 110mm LDH - Paris has a lot of underground 110mm high volume hydrants, and LDH is used for hydrant access to these. It is also deployed for relaying water from locations with high volume hydrants to pumps at more remote firegrounds which do not have easy access to them when dealing with serious fires. This protocol is identical to the almost universal use of 125mm LDH in the US and Canada.
