WFD's Rescue 1 is a 2002 KME Heavy Duty rescue with all of the trimmings. It is staffed by a driver/operator, company officer and 2-3 firefighters. According to a response study issued by the venerable "Boston Globe", WFD Rescue 1 has the fastest response time of any Heavy Rescue in the United States. Overall the Wilmington Fire Department holds the second fastest response time, falling just behind the Fire Department of New York. (photo: Lou Angeli)

How long have they had this one. My cousin just retired as fire chief i think last year, pretty cool 'bout the response times
