There is a colour photo of this appliance at picture 15258. Bedford TK PHPs were very rare. According to my records only Fife and Hartlepool (picture 14919)had this type. The Fife one ended up in Ireland and was preserved according to the fire service trust website. It was all red.

PHPs were generally rather uncommon, although a few brigades had several - not least Glasgow.

The idea was short-lived, because the 55 foot platform was just not all that practical at very many incidents, and many were disposed of quite quickly, while none was replaced by another PHP...
