Berlin bought three of these low-profile ladders - after testing and then deciding not to buy the existing low-profile Magirus custom ladder. These were already being supplied to fire services in Germany and overess, including a few to Britain.

The Berlin trio's chassis was unique to Berlin, and incorporated the standard Iveco-Magirus-DAF- Volvo "Club of Four" cab, while the others had a "one-off" custom cab.

I have tried to discover the background to this story, but have not found out why Berlin did not buy the more commonplace low-profile Magirus ladder.
