The photo makes it look really grown up but actually they were tiny (roughly 3 meters long and 1.35 meters wide). A Pinzgauer is HUGE compared with the Haflinger.

Hi Stephen!The Haflinger was made by Pinzgauer for the army in Osterreich!

The Haflinger was made by Steyr Daimler Puch of Austria who also produced later the Pinzgauer.
The Haflinger existed both in a military and in a civil version.

I do believe this vehicle was supplied to the West Riding County Council Fire Brigade in unique white livery with the hammer finish rear panelling on the rear panels. During these years West Riding adopted a total white livery on their appliances after colour trials in the county proved (in their opinion) that white stood out in all light conditions over the original red livery.This appliance may have been delivered just before the counties standardisation on white commenced, not sure?
