Used by West Riding at Sedbergh (now Cumbria) this was in Merseyside fire museum collection, but now in Sheffield emergency services museum. 50 gall tank. Front mounted winch. Crew of 2. A complete one-off.
Bodywork engineering is by Ryders/Schofield & Sons of Bury and was originally painted yellow or maybe white. The role of the vehicle was to be a first response to fires in difficult terrain, such as off-road in the moors/fells.
Late Alastair Collins collection - used with permission.
