Fire Engines Photos

Albion was the standard chassis used by Merryweather, and this is probably a Merryweather pump dating from around 1930, judging from the tyres, the bodywork and the absence of a windscreen. The centrally-located pump is, however, rather unusual for this period.

I'll lay odds on its not a Merryweather. More likely an Australian built import. Ron.

Fazer and all, This 1930 Albion is indeed a former Australian fire engine. In use with the Melbourne MFB as a Hose Carriage. Albion Sp. LB41 chassis No 14126C. Once owned (after decommission) by Mr. King from Mount Waverly (Australia)sold to some body in the UK but ended up at the Lotus Desaru Beach Resort in Johor state Malaysia... ps not in use over there as a fire engine

You welcome Fazer9553. Are you from Johor state? Saw your photos of the Bomba Sukarela Bekok and I only thought Benut (Pontian district) Bukit Tunggal (Felda) & Sungai Rengit had fire trucks. Do you know of any others in Johor state?
