just browsing seen the photo this was the first appliance I rode when stationed at polesworth 1988 is it still about and does it still have the flaked hose.

Hi Martyn, yes it's still around and yes the flaked hose is still there . I put the hose back on as it's one of the few original features that I know was on it . It still pumps well . I have done quite a bit of work on it including respraying the cab but there is still more work to do before it is completely finished.

Sorry to jump into this conversation so late on but the call sign would have been 231, Polesworth station being station 23 and it being a single appliance retained station.
