375 EOX Turntable Ladder 100ft.on left.

2xTL 'rescues' from the tower at Birmingham's Station A1 Central. TL on left was Central based. One on right was from Station B5 Moseley Road. Both are Bedford Magirus Hydraulic. Seen at a display 1966/7.

Same like our 1968 TL where two was bought by Brunei Fire Brigade and used until mid 1980s. The rescue technique is also the same.

Were these bodied by David Haydon? They look a lot like the Leyland Firemaster-Haydon-Magirus ladders supplied to Wolverhampton and Darlington in 1960/61 - except of course that the crew cabs are configured differently for the Bedford chassis.

see the comment about Haydon often subcontracting their body work to Brade Leigh or Wilsdon, both local firms in the West Midlands, at picture 28608. see also picture 21044 where a similar comment is made by one of our experts on such matters.
