LBO100F Cardiff 100ft Turntable Ladder (TL)
Sorry, it now looks blurred! AEC/Merryweather 100ft Hydraulic TL, 1968 registered. Pictured at Ely Fire Station (one of four) of Cardiff City Fire Service, Cardiff, Wales,UK. Very small area to in-line road jacks which came off the ground sometimes during operation though gauges showed within safety parameters. Chassis visibly flexed under normal operating conditions which did not inspire confidence! Nice to drive but and easy to operate but extremely poor road brakes!

i believe an Ian James now has it and is doing some work on it , I may be wrong but thats the last I heard

Yes it's still about, it's based in Swanesa and last time I seen it was being worked on. It was good to see it after so many years.

Remember it well. I was an instructor on this and the original merry weather to ( ie Cardiff City )

I took the above photo in 1974/5 when I was a L Fm at Ely, Cardiff. It was there for a training session.
