Dennis D series XTT310S front
We have the sister ship to SJY845T WHICH IS SHOWN ON YOUR WEBSITE the dennis d series. We have the XTT310S 1978 Dennis D series which is now owned by father and son roy and jason browne of hampshire.
The Dennis we have was in service from 1978 to 1992 at Moretonhampstead in Devon, and the call sign was 271. It came out of service after being in a road traffic accident but it was rebuilt and repainted then on delivery back ran into the back of a car and never returned to active service. This is just part of our engine collection at present we have six appliances at different stages of restoration.

The grille is as it was from the factory and was put on the front of many thousands of trucks and fire appliances and to my eye it looks fine , some did paint them black or body colour though but it is as standard and thats what restorations are all about

That was standard fitment. The bin lorries had the same style.
