Marcel, Nice collection of photos showing an appliance at work, even if it showing off as opposed to working, still very nice to see, thank you.

Do you know how effective this vehicle and others like it are on the continent?
These vehicles were, at first, well received in Britain as they are in theory a fantastic piece of equipment.
Unfortunately most supplied to the UK have been beset with reliability and safety issues, as I am sure you are aware. Some UK Brigades have even taken these vehicles out of service after only a few years.
I would be very interested to hear if our continental brothers have had more success.

Hi,

There is only one Multistar on the run in The Netherlands. There were some technical problems with this unit and it was a regular visitor to the Magirus factory in Germany.
But now it is back on the run. I don't know how the firefighters like this unit.

Very few in Germany either. Most have been exported, many very far afield to South America, the Middle East and Far East.....
