Nice looking water tanker. I prefer water tanker built on Volvo FL6 chassis.

Portuguese fire hydrants are often built into the walls of buildings and fed by their supply lines - which are usually small diameter and proffer a rather feeble flow rate for firefighting.

With this in mind, first response almost always includes a tanker, even in the city center of Lisbon, the capital.

This one, with 8, 000 liters on two axles, is as big as it gets without the added cost of a tandem rig, and - like similar units in Belgium - is an urban rather than a rural support unit.

The normal structure fire first response comprises a light pump appliance, a medium pump, an aerial truck and a tanker - with a minimum of fifteen firefighters.
