Reynolds Boughton Brigadier prototypeIn the late 1980's the ARFF chassis builders Reynolds Boughton developed a chassis/cab intended for local authority fire brigade use. The "Brigadier" was developed in consultation with Devon Fire and Rescue Service and the prototype went into service in 1988 at Exeter fire station on a trial basis for several months before returning to RB.
Powered by a Volvo Penta engine the Brigadier had a single bus style door for the crew and a hinged door for the driver.
Unless anyone knows better the prototype was the only example ever built and Exeter was the only place that it ever saw service.
