There are two of these appliances - one is going to Highfields in Nottingham the other is going to the new 3 bay (special rescue) station at Tuxford on the A1 near Retford.

Out of interest these two appliances are overdue due to the original rear bodys being destroyed in a fire at the manufacturers !

Seems like the same idea as the Singapore CDF Rescue Tender, except the SCDF version didnt have deck compartment for keeping the boat and their version also had rear compartment to keep ATV.

The general configuration of this truck is very interesting. Indeed the fact of taking the lifeboat to the inside of the cell looks very "exotic" for a French like me. In my country firefighters simply use trailers in the back of trucks or vans, and sometimes just 4WD cars. If you want to get a better idea of our system, look at the photo #25418 which has a van fire in Paris towing a light motorboat.
