Been on the run for less than three months Baxeux's new CCF Renault Sides forest fire machine replacing a unimog which in french fire service 's terms is old at 8 years.
CCF 6000 liter 4X4 tanker on an 18 tonne chassis, quite a bit bigger than the largest 4X4 Unimogs, which can carry up to 4000 liters, but a lot cheaper than the 7000 liter Unimog 6X6 trucks used by Marseilles' BMPM.
Most SDIS do keep forest fire trucks a lot longer than eight years, because they are usually only busy for around six months every year. I suspect the Mog this unit replaced was probably reassigned to a different station.
