H72HKC was new to County of Clwyd Fire Service in 1991 at station E2 Deeside. It cascaded the original Volvo WrL in the UK (D999TFY) to W9 St Asaph. H72HKC was the first in Clwyd to feature now common features such as powered floodlight masts and powered hosereel rewind,also they were the first new with stripework to Clwyd. She is seen 19 years later running as a spare at Chirk, on the Engilish/Welsh border.
