What is the role of this truck?

I would imagine it is similar to Merseysides Cool Van, for treatment of firefighters suffering the effects of heat

The role of this truck is to act as a mobile canteen, surving sports drinks, water, and nutrition bars.

Rehab units also provide a place for firefighters to rest, and either cool down in hot weather or get warm after being outside in freezing weather in winter. Many North American cities operate them to respond to major incidents, especially in extreme weather of all types. But there are no universal specifications, and some - such as the ones operated by FDNY - are quite large, being based on converted city buses. In some places, they are provided by the Salvation Army or a Volunteer Auxiliary organization, and in other countries by a collection of different agencies including for example the Red Cross in Germany.
