Fire Engines Photos

Nice photo, Attila. Do you have any information on the pumper? Does it have a water tank? Size of pump? High pressure or low pressure?

I have the following informations about the pumper:
it is a permanent 4wheel drive fire engine, and It has a 1000 liter water tank, and an additional 100 liter capacity foam tank, the pump is a high pressure Rosenbauer NH20 pump(2000l/min. 40bar).
This pumper is stationed with his twin brother in the inner city of budapest , where there are many narrow streets, and this small size pumper can approach the fire scenes and the scenes of car accidents easier than the medium or big size pumpers.

Just a clarification. The Rosenbauer NH20 has a low-pressure rated output of 2000 LPM at 10 AT. The four-stage high-pressure circuit can deliver up to 400 LPM at 40 AT and is used with the semi-rigid first aid hose reel (booster system). This pump cannot deliver 2000 LPM at 40 AT....

This Mercedes has a 160 DIN BHP engine, which is perfectly adequate to power this pump. As long ago as 1950, the 160 HP Rolls-Royce engine was used to power the Dennis F12 pumper, with their No 3 pump. This was rated at 4100LPM at 7 AT, or 2800 at 10 AT, so this little Mercedes has the oomph to get the job done!

The NH20 has been replaced recently by the new generation NH25, which is physically similar but more efficient, and has an increased low-pressure output of 2500 LPM. The high-pressure output is the same, mainly because the hose reel system does not require a higher flow capacity.

I can now confirm that this unit carried a boat while its identical stable mate had ladders. They were both located at the Old Town fire station, which is very close to the river.
