Yes,this was one of 5 Bedford SH-Morris/Magirus 100ft Turntable Ladders in use with the Kent Fire Brigade from 1958 until around 1980.This actual appliance dates from 1959 and was used at'C Div'Headquarters at King Street,Margate.

This lovely vehicle would have been taken to Duxford by my late father Mike and in the picture you can see my nan! I have many fond memories of this lorry

Pete - did other brigades buy these Bedford S-Magirus ladders, or were their sales confined to Kent?

Not that it matters, but I did see one of these in use at a roof fire in a house in Margate one day in 1963...

Rob I have posted a number of Bedford S/Magirus TLs on this site including Bootle; States of Jersey; and Birmingham. It is one of my favourite simply because of the Dinky model of same.

Petros - unfortunately the Dinky had what looked a lot like a Metz ladder - a combination which I do not believe ever existed!
