Is this an Alfred Miles or Angus body?

Neither - it's A Carmichael Body on a Karrier Gamecock Chassis. It looks very different now! The rear ladder was added in the 1990's and has now been removed along with the rear step.

I like the fact that they maximized rear access. It is a lot safer to unpack items from the rear than from the sides, particularly in close quarters and/or in traffic.

A lot of US and Australian fire equipment are designed along these lines, and of course quite a lot of European and all Japanese pumps hang their hoses in carts mounted at the rear...
