What is this, a tanker or a bushfire truck, its obviously not a 4x4 ?

The NSWFB operated several of these Bedford tankers in there large fleet, not just for heathland and bushfires but as water carriers. The NSW(Volunteer)Bush Brigades also used them as front line appliances in there small communnities and also for bushfire operations.
The Bedford 4x2 and 4X4 versions could be found with brigades throughout Australia from as far north as the Northern Territory, to as far south to the States of Victoria and South Australia. In Western Australia, many could be found as bushfire tankers with the WAFB and also the volunteer WA organisations and they were even used in the State of Tasmania.
