Converted ex Crawlet Crash Tender G265 VBPre
To complete the story of West Sussex Mercedes 917AF/Mountain Range Crash Tender G265 VBP ex Crawley & Horsham, here is a picture of it in the summer of 2005, having been converted into a rally vehicle to take part in the Dakar Rally between January 1st & 15th 2006. It is seen here before being covered in sponsorship decals on a Wiltshire farm near Malmesbury having co-incidentally been converted by the brother in law of a work colleague. It's conversion was also featured in the Saturday telegraph motoring supplement. I am not sure what happed to it after the rally, as my work colleague has retired! - Does anyone know? Jon.

Jon,thanks for concluding the story on this old WSFB Mercedes-Benz/Mountain Range rescue tender.Lets hope someone lets us know if its still around,and to what purpose its being used for now.I remember seeing this with the tranfers on it in a transport magazine,didn't even realise it was the old rescue tender.
