Dennis Metz Turntable Ladder

A rear view of Dennis Metz TL (MGB 853)from North West Fire Station, Glasgow, on call in Great Western Road during 1964. Note the Divisional Officer's car, an Austin A40, is parked ahead of the appliance. This was a three appliance turnout (1st pump, pump escape, and TL).

This was known as the air-conditioning back in them days Paul.Great in the summer,but I bet it was really cold and drafty in the winter months.
