Fire truck Kykkos Monastery - Cyprus
Fire truck Kykkos Monastery in the Troddos mountain.
The reason for this fire truck to be standing in front of the Monastery is for me not clear.
However this Monastery is far from some other village and is of a greate value for Cyprus. I don't know which type of personal that is running the appliance. Probably some voluntary or military personal working at the monastery.
The truck have a small watertank a regular pump and some basic fire fighting tools. Produced by Sides on a Land rover body. This is a type of truck often seen in Cyprus at the rural fire stations, note also that normally all fire trucks have blue and red light in Cyprus.

Wonder if it's because they have a water supply at the monastery for them to fill the tank. The reason I say this back in 2007 on a visit to the troddos mountains there was a small issusu fire truck filling up at Chrysorrogiattissa monastery.I will post a couple of pictures of it.
