Fire Engines Photos

Hi Paul, I also went to this rally and have uploaded a couple of pics onto here (I'll put a few more up when i have time)

This was the first fire engine rally i have been to and although it wasn't the biggest, there was a good turnout of visitors and the atmosphere and the surroundings made it a great day out

The Devon appliances of old certainly were styled right! The rear bodywork has clearly been designed to blend in with the cab area and the slam door lockers make a welcome change from the shutters seen on many 70s appliances. Also the allocation info is appreciated thank you, if I ever write a retro Devon fleetlist I have one appliance to start me off!

They certainly are well styled, very nice looking appliances that I remember fondly in Brixham during my childhood.

I agree that it looks great, but I do not like that grille. It looks like a farm gate! Commer did a much neater T grille in 1950....
