Durham's Dennis Maxim

Durham's Dennis Maxim is seen in use during a display at the Teesside Airport Fire Engine Rally in 1987, whilst Cleveland's XVN559T, and B142LVN looking on. The Austin Maxi is about to lose it's roof (and other bits) having just simulated an RTA with MGR669P a Bristol VR Bus formerly with United Automobile Company. This Bus later went on to be an exhibition unit with Cleveland Police.

It is a Saturday lunch time on the 13th. June, almost 22 years after this picture was taken and 'Maxim' has just been busy craning an Ex-LFB Shelvoke Perkins V8 diesel engine into position in the shed.

Just can't beat a good Dennis!

Great shot, Chris - shows the twin booms of the classic Holmes Wrecker to advantage; mounted on the legendary Dennis, of course, Doc !
