Bedford TK YYD841H Somerset Fire Brigade
This picture was taken by Bristol Bob and is published with his full permission. It shows Bedford TK YYD841H when it was on the run with Somerset Fire Brigade stationed at Winscombe which at the time was part of A division. The photo is pre 1974 because in 1974 this appliance along with Winscombe station was passed over to the newly formed County of Avon Fire Brigade. I believe the appliance ended up at the brigades training school at Temple and according to some information I received last week, it is still in existence somewhere in Cornwall.

YYD843,5H were also ones that went to Avon. 842,4 both stayed with Somerset. Somerset also had YYC314-6H which they kept in 1974 so they obviously forked out rather a lot of money in 1969-70!

Hello Paul Bedford Tk YYD 841H was in Sailsbury then bought by a chap and restored in Southampton a few years back have not seen it since.Will load photos of it on this site.
