The fire brigade of Lichtenvoorde in the Netherlands put this DAF A1100C406 watertender in service in 1955. It bodywork and the frontmouted pump was built by Bikkers (Rotterdam). In 1976 it was replaced by a new DAF watertender. Nowadays this DAF watertender is in the DAF museum in Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

The simplicity of a Front-Mount is very appealing - can see at a glance what your hoses are, good view of fire-scene, and close to the engine and cab-controls and radio.
Glad to see this one has been preserved.
