I think the reg is WWV439 registered in 1960 with Haydon / Magirus 100' TL, operated Drove Road, Swindon, Wiltshire. Fire Brigade Handbook volume2 p14

Apart from the obviously different front section of its cab, this is very similar to Darlington's 1960 Leyland Firemaster Magirus 100 foot TL 999 MHN - which is also preserved, thanks to Dr. Barry Hutchinson. The Leyland had a center of frame underfloor horizontal engine, as it was based on a bus chassis, so although the cab had a chrome front grille, there was only a big empty space behind it. Its long gone sister, the only other Leyland Firemaster TL (built for Wolverhampton), had front doors under the windscreen like the pump escapes, concealing PTO driven front mounted 500 GPM pump - making it a unique Firemaster TLP.
