It's neat when everybody comes to my station for training, I get to take lots of photos. Here is a shot of Eng. 18, protectors of Mars Hill, Georgia. 2004 Pierce Dash 1500gpm, 750gal. of water, 15gal. AFFF. BTW, I took this with my new Canon 40D. I can't get enough of that camera! I love it.

Hi Fireman, I know the feeling about the camera....I also have this great camera :-) Easy to use, and you will get a very good result !!

What amazes me is the rapid fire shutter on the 40D. Shades of the old Nikon motor-drives. I was able to just buy the body only and (for now) use the lenses I have. I can tell though I'll need a 28-135 zoom soon. I may have bumped up the saturation a little too much, what do you think? I am going to get an off-brand battery/vertical grip in the next week or 2. That should hold me for awhile.

I have a 75-300 lens can someone suggest the next size up please, sorry for being off topic.
Andrew.

Hi, I don't think the saturation is to much. Nice looking picture. I've got the 24-105L standard on my camera. Great lens. And for the planes I normally use the 100-400L lens. Guite heavy, but you can make great pictures with it.

Marcel what length is the 100-400?

Andrew, take a look at www.the-digital-picture.com/reviews/canon-ef-100-400mm-f-4.5-5.6-l-is-usm-lens-review.aspx and you know anything :-)

Thanks Marcel. I admit I know nothing about lenses, and am at the mercy of others.
Andy.

Also try looking at a group called talkphotography, free to join and submit pics to and also a great source of information on all camera's and equipment .

It will be a very wet day in Hell, before I get a bigger lens, I honestly had a shock when I seen the price of the one Marcel mentioned. I'll have a look at the site thanks.
Andrew.
