1959 Commer Karrier Gamecock Fire engine GJM447

This is a 1959 commer karrier gamecock fire engine owned by me
I bought it off eBay and have restored it to be fully operational
It is ex westmorland (now cumbria) and served at kendal and then kirkby lonsdale until coming out of service in 1974
I don't have any photo's of it in service so if any recognises her or has info on her I'd love to have it!
I've owned her for 3 years and her first outing was to the great Dorset steam fair in September 2008
I will send more pics soon

Martin, I photographed your Commer GJM.447 when on holiday in UK at Hullavington Airfield on 13/9/2009. Could you please tell me the water capacity carried, Pump make, & GPM (LPM). Thank you for your help. Graham

You only have one windscreen wiper.
My Karrier also has one wiper.
The mechanism is on the passenger window though.
Is this how they were operated?

Mine has two wiper motors, but both are operated by a single switch mounted on the drivers side motor.

Hi guys - I've just started a major restoration project on a 1959 Commer Karrier Gamecock with a TS3 diesel engine. The cab as had a major rust worm attack but a guy that restores VW campers reckons he as seen a lot worse and believes he can restore and paint the cab.
Is there a chance someboday can take some photos of the front mud guard fixing as I know ours will need major re-fabrication, especially the front fixings. Many thanks if you can.
