1st Sabre in presevation

This is my Dennis sabre, it used to serve with Warwickshire FRS.
I have refurbished it myself including the spray job and stripes all cut by hand. I decided to paint it the same as the one South Yorkshire FRS had on trial from Dennis's, personally I think this was the best ever paint design on a sabre, and it was a one off. It used to be at a station where a family member worked so getting pics of it was never a problem.

forgive me if im wrong but the point of preservation is to preserve an appliance in its original livery and state and re livering or painting a preserved appliance is not right its actually modifying an appliance to your own liking.. just my opinion ..anyone else

You certainly have matched the livery well Simon. My first thought when I saw this picture was that it was S542 APH, the demonstrator you speak of. It spent some time here in Norfolk during 2000 and I believe it found a permanent home in Ireland.

Thanks for your comment chris, S542 APH is now serving in Limerick city, you can find it on blues and twos web site, although they have changed the stripes and painted a bit more white on it. After it left Norfolk it went to BAA fire service at Heathroww for a while also, before they purchased the Scania pumps.

Is this the one that's been sold to Kent international airport for further use

Simon, would you be repainting her into her original brigade livery? Looks like a South Yorkshire machine at the mo. Served at Stratford-upon-Avon and then Royal Leamington Spa retained and finally at Shipston-on-Stour retained station where I photographed her. Fleet Number PRL 74.Chassis no. SFD122B12TGS40212.
