GXN205 in 1975

A picture of my family’s fire engine GXN205 – this is what “Martha” looked like in 1975 when we got her first. It may be of interest to the visitors of this website and give them some hope that from a derelict condition with a lot of work vehicles can look as good as new.

Hi Heather, what a lovely photo to have and how nice it is that your whole family have an interest in 'Martha'.
I have added some information to picture number 1867 which goes some way towards answering the question 'how many survive?'.

Hi Heather how is Martha these days?

Martha is still much loved and still in our ownership. It raised £1500 for the fire service charity this year with its usual nativity scene at christmas. I will post a picture taken this year in its christmas home, Westlea fire station Swindon.
