1980 Jeep Emergency Rescue Tender

1980 Jeep 320/40 chassis/Pilcher Green Emergency Rescue Tender.

This 1980 Emergency Rescue Tender was built as a prototype by Pilcher Green of Burgess Hill on a 320/40 Jeep chassis to the specification of the East Sussex Fire Brigade.It was powered by a 3060cc American Motors engine developing 175bhp,it was fitted with a 3 speed automatic gear box.This ERT was the first of 3 for the East Sussex Fire Brigade and went to the fire station at Preston Circus in Brighton.The other 2 purchased around 1983/84 were on J20 6x4 chassis/Angloco bodywork.
