The station was built in 1973 on the present site on Bohemia Road.

Wholetime firefighters crew 1 pumping appliance and a Arial ladder platform 24 hours a day,7 days a week.

The station, together with the Ridge, provides cover for the whole of Hastings and St. Leonards on Sea.
