Is this the famous Coventry Fire Brigade Yellow, which was the name the colour was given following trials by Coventry Fire Brigade.

This Land Rover was purchased by the West Sussex County Fire Brigade during the year 1960 on delivery it was in the civilian colours of Fergusion Grey with county cream wheels the brigade workshops during that year converted it for the role of fire fighting this included the fitting of a seventy gallon baffled steel tank and first aid hose reel and light portable pump carried within the truck cab. a winkworth single electric bell was fitted to the front bumper but also the rear panels and front facia on the wings were done in fire engine red with a single lucas acorn flashing light on the top of the cab it was placed at the counties Midhurst fire station in the wharf within the town and operated as a hose reel tender only, an identical Land Rover was also placed on the run at Sturts Avenue Camelsdale. During the mid sixties this Land Rover had overhead gantries fitted incorporating an alloy triple extension ladder with the brigade classifying them as Land Rover Ladders/Hose Reel Tenders the red on them which was very little was phased out giving a full fergusion grey livery two tone horns were fitted deleting the bell and the acorn blue light was moved onto the gantries for higher and more prominent visibility. In late 1970 it was returned to the workshops and repainted in ICI Coventry Fire Brigade Yellow this was to match the other two existing appliances in Midhurst giving the station a full yellow line up. This Land Rover was found in Milton Keynes as a builders transport and full rebuilt to its original fire brigade specification by Mr Barry Lambeth who spent hours sourcing the parts and rebuilding it to immaculate condition.

I will add also tailor made lockers were incorporated to both the nearside and offside rear truck cab behind the cab doors. Barrie who had over run his expenditure when rebuilding it never got round to fitting these, other than that the vehicle is original and as presented by the brigade in this era.
