TTT565R ex Devon Fire Brigade, discovered in a boatyard in Northwich Cheshire where it was used for pumping duties. Any information regarding its 'service career' would be welcome.

Do you know if the owner is selling this or parts off it ?
Thanks

Not sure about that Mark...I would imagine that he is the sort of person who would be 'open to offers' I don't think he has used it for some time.

I think this may have just appeared on e-bay

Was it sold or is it still there?

Only 2 numbers away from one of the Brixham appliances I'm desperate to track down!

Not sure Neil I will try to have a drive over there during the weekend.

This served Holsworthy

This is not a 'water tender' it was described as a 'multi purpose' when part of devon fire brigade, I think it may have been a retained appliance, not sure!

I own TTT 570R. Does anyone have any information on its service career?

Added by Bruce Cochrane on 21 August 2011.
TTT570R served Colyton (Run a Flickr search for TTT570R & there's a picture of it outside Colyton fire station)

Are you going to restore it as it should be or leave the BT box on the back?

Added by Neil Armstrong on 22 August 2011.
I think is has gone.....couldn't see it last time I was down there

Just checked the Flickr picture - it looks so shiny there!

I'm going to leave the box on the back (how did you know about that?) as I bought it as a camper project. It has taken me quite a while to get rid of the smell of hippies from it, though.

I drove it from London to Oxfordshire yesterday and it ran like a sewing machine.

Saw it on eBay a few times, would be nice to see it restored back to as it should be one day

Agreed, but if in this form it has a home and survives, then surely that is better than being original and scrapped.
