Squrt-21 (Mill Creek Fire Co.)
This 1985 Squrt, operated by Mill Creek Fire Company, is one of the few remaining Seagrave machines that remain in a county in which the Wisconsin manufacturer once was King with 30 apparatus in service. Over the years that business went to Pierce and E-One, as you can determine by most of my submissions. 1500gpm 2-stage pump, 55 foot articulating boom, 4-inch supply line, and 2.5 inch, 2 inch and one and 3/4 inch attack line. BTW it seems squrts are dying out. Now I live in the Midwest, I hardly ever see one. Are many still around in your neck of the woods?
In the UK little snorkel pumpers were once the in thing, but none of the departments who bought them ever replaced them, so the whole concept just died...
Chicago has four 55 foot snorkels, but these have no pumps and are assigned to rescue companies, which is a bit different idea.
