Why do Hampshir F&R Services appliances always seem to have amber lenses towards the middle of the lightbars and have them illuminated when the blue lights are flashing? I thought that they were just an addidtion to the standard vehicle hazard lights- can anyone shed any light on the matter? (No pun intended)!!

They are used to make the vehicles more visable when on the road. The Amber lights do work really well!
Richard, I see this picture was taken in 2008 and the appliance is still in service, allthough it is now 12 years old and due for replacement along with it's sister appliance based at Redbride.
